PLANTING SEEDS OF HOPE
Twenty years ago, Jackie Ryan was in her final year of Kinesiology at McMaster University. She was suffering from what doctors called “Manic Depression” and felt a constant ache as she endeavoured to find meaning in her life. Through the strength of the prayers from the women in her lineage (both living and in the Spirit World), she was led to the Sacred Fires of the Indigenous Peoples.
Here she learned to connect to the Creator, to Mother Earth and to her own Ancestors in an authentic and grounded way. She spent many years working on her own healing, building on her faith and ability to connect to her Ancestors, and serving in First Nations’ communities. In September of 2007, Jackie received a vision about a school for children that would honour the spiritual gifts that they carry. In addition to their academic learning, children would have a place where they could come to talk about their dreams, their visions and the challenges that they face. Here, children would find the spiritual guidance and tools to overcome these challenges and allow their gifts to unfold to the fullness of their potential.Join us for an evening of hope and inspiration as Jackie shares the events and miracles that have unfolded since that time, and the incredible vision and gifts that the children are bringing forward and manifesting in the world.
Jackie Ryan is a graduate of McMaster University. Her passion and calling is working with children. She is the founder and executive director of a not-for-profit organization called “Planting Seeds of Hope.” Its vision is to encompass a new model of education that helps children realize their full potential. Jackie is also the National Coordinator of “Children’s Lands Canada.” This organization encourages adults to donate land to children and to support the children as they work collectively to create a microcosm of the kind of world that they would like to see. Jackie is currently working with families, organizations and schools to facilitate the implementation of this program. Jackie works in the field of Early Childhood Education and is committed to developing a new model of education that is spiritually empowered and will assist the gifted children of this millennium to walk as the new generation leaders.
